Now we are really really official.
Emily went yesterday to file papers and pick up our official Adoption Certificate, known as “the Red Book” since is comes in red folder with the official seal. This, along with his Visa, lets us take Braden out of China. We will present it at our appointment at the US Consulate in Guangzhou next week, Sept 8th. At the Consulate, we have to present ourselves as true and committed to this adoption, and swear that we have not deceived either government. Then they will issue Braden’s visa, so he can leave China. We will be sworn in on Sept 9 and can pick us his Visa, barring no issues, on 9/10, the day we leave China.
Emily is taking us to the silk factory now and for an authentic Sichuan lunch.
All good news friends, you will have no trouble proving you commitment! Amazing things happening for both our families on the 8th and 9th...ah it is the Jewish new year so new year, new life for all!!!
